ProvidersIn progress

The best answer for each check, from whoever gives it.

Aegis is an orchestration platform, not a single vendor in disguise. Every check is answered by the provider a tenant chooses for it, behind one interface, with a fallback when that provider fails — so no flow, and no tenant, depends on any one company.

In use

Didit, today.

Didit is an identity and fraud platform with one interface for document verification, liveness, face match and face search, chip reading, screening, proof of address, business verification, device and network analysis, email and phone checks, and age estimation. It is the first provider Aegis integrates end to end.

Didit
Documents, liveness, face match and screening as steps in any tenant’s flow.
Built

Our own

Panoptes, built by Protoworks.

Panoptes is Protoworks’ intelligence platform: an investigative graph of people, companies and their connections on the FollowTheMoney ontology. It is being made Aegis’s own source for sanctions and politically exposed persons, and in time for beneficial ownership at scale.

Screening

In conversation

Discussions, not contracts. Each provider is added as a tenant-selectable step once integrated and tested.

The specialists we are talking to.

For each kind of check we are in conversation with the companies that do it best, so a tenant can choose by coverage, assurance and price rather than accept whatever one vendor offers.

Identity verification
Persona, Veriff, Sumsub and Incode — documents, selfies and face match across most of the world’s identity documents.
Liveness
FaceTec and Paravision — presentation-attack detection tested to ISO/IEC 30107-3.
Document chips and authenticity
Signicat ReadID for reading passport and ID-card chips over NFC; Keesing Technologies for the reference data behind document checks.
Sanctions and politically exposed persons
LSEG World-Check, Dow Jones Risk & Compliance and ComplyAdvantage — curated risk data beside our own Panoptes screening.
Fraud and risk signals
Sardine, Fingerprint and Socure — device intelligence, behavioural signals and risk decisioning.
Across Africa
Smile ID, Youverify and Dojah — identity checks against national sources across the continent.
Businesses and their owners
Moody’s, for company records and ownership through Orbis, and Kyckr, for live access to official company registers.

How providers are used

Interchangeable by design.

One interface per check
A document check is a document check whoever answers it. Providers sit behind ports, so adding one never touches a decision.
Built
Chosen per tenant
Each tenant picks its providers per step, within what the platform allows, and can exclude any provider outright.
Built
Fallback in order
If the first provider fails or times out, the next answers. Exhaustion is the tenant’s policy, not an accident.
Built
Consent before the call
Where a provider needs the person’s consent, it is recorded before any data leaves.
Built
Every call on the record
Each request to a provider, and each answer, is written to the audit trail.
Built

Build on identity that is proven, not assumed.

Aegis is built by Protoworks and offered to partners on request. Tell us what you need to verify, issue or accept, and we will show you the platform running.
